When to use it
Numbers locked in a PDF are slow to work with: copying them by hand takes time and invites mistakes. Converting the PDF to Excel puts the figures into cells so you can sort, filter, total and chart them in seconds. It is useful for bank and credit card statements, supplier price lists, sales reports, attendance sheets and research tables. Because the numbers are stored as real numbers, formulas such as SUM and AVERAGE work straight away. Check the workbook after converting, as some tables may need a quick tidy-up of their columns.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Yes. Bank statements are recognised: each transaction becomes a row, with the date, narration, debit, credit and balance in their own columns. Amounts become numbers with two decimals that you can add up, while dates, cheque numbers and account numbers stay as text.
Does it work for invoices and GST invoices?
Yes. The items table keeps its columns, HSN and SAC codes and the GSTIN stay as text, and the subtotal, tax and grand total line up under the Amount column. Bill To and Ship To blocks are placed side by side above the items.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, scanned pages are read with text recognition (OCR) on your device, in English, Bengali or Hindi. Recognised tables can need more tidying than tables from a normal PDF, so it works best with PDFs created from software.
Why are some columns merged?
PDFs do not store tables, only text positions. Tables with uneven spacing can need a small tidy-up in Excel afterwards.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit and no watermark.
Which pages should I convert?
Convert only the pages that hold the tables you need. Fewer pages give a tidier workbook and make it quicker to find your numbers, especially in long reports with many text pages.
